Designed to go over all of the other layers for extreme cold weather. <img src="https://store.nexternal.com/useg/images/Level7-Type-II-PARKA-300.gif" align="right" alt="PCU LEVEL VII LOFT JACKET, TYPE II" name="PCU LEVEL VII LOFT JACKET, TYPE II" border="0" hspace="10" /> LEVEL VII LOFT JACKET, TYPE II, PROTECTIVE COMBAT UNIFORM This is the latest addition to the PCU Uniform it is similar to the old fishtail parkas but nothing old about it it is constructed with the same state of the art fabrics as the other Level 7 garments. The Parka is long and extends past the knees in the front and much lower in the back it is also very generously sized to go over the ruck sack and the other layers of the Protective Combat Uniform. The jacket is very light-weight and cofortable and features a hood that stows in the collar, Draw String Waist for blocking out the cold,Hand Warmer Pockets, full length front zipper with Zipper draft flap and velcro closure, Draw string hood, Velcro adjustable sleeve closure for sealing out the cold. Waterproof elbow patches. Velcro Sleeve patches for attaching rank insignia or IR. The Level 7 Type II Parka can be used on its own or over some or all of the other 7 layers including the Level 7 Loft Jacket for extreme cold weather conditions. The generous sizing of the parka allows for un-restricted movement. Details: 2.1 Construction: The garment is a heavily insulated jacket worn in severe cold weather. The garment is designed to be worn over fully equipped uniforms. It is constructed with a two way zipper for easy access and two large accessible pockets. The hood can be fully enclosed with a zipper collar for storage. 2.2. Outer Shell Fabric: The basic material for the jacket outer shell shall be 100% Nylon. The jacket outer shell material shall be (reference- Nextec Praetorian), or commercial equivalent. The color shall be Alpha Green. Face shall be plain weave with back finish with encapsulation. 2.3 Lining: The loft lining of the jacket shall be (reference-Primaloft® )5 oz. sport or commercial equivalent. 2.4 Inner Shell: 40 denier nylon ripstop, ( reference –Duro Indsutries) alpha green, commercial equivalent. 2.5 Thread: The thread for the jacket shall be a minimal strength of Polyester wrap core T40. The color shall be Alpha Green, or matching color. Shall conform to A-A-50199. 2.6 Elbow re-enforcement : shall be clear matte Polyurethane fabric film , (reference-Bemis), heat sealed to Praertorian fabric, or commercial equivalent. 2.7 Stitches seams, and stitching: Stitches per inch on all sewing operations shall be 10-14.
